Discovery & Accelerating Research Together (DART)
MBC Dart is our new initiative that will bring together our strategic partners to develop innovative research projects with the goal of driving progress towards curative approaches for patients.
This initiative will kick off officially with a Symposium on November 13 in Texas that will bring together the foundation’s partners. The Symposium will include sessions and workshops focused on Gene & Cellular Therapy, Clinical Trials, Therapeutics, Biomarkers, CDK4/6 Resistance, Triple- negative metastatic breast cancer (TNBC), inflammatory breast cancer and commercialization. We expect an attendance of 75-100 people which will include oncologists, researchers, patient advocates, industry and other stakeholders.
We will use a facilitator to help guide the discussion and develop long term plans. An Executive Summary will be developed and shared with funders and partners. MBC DART Leaders will use the insights to guide future direction and next steps for MBC DART.
Our strategic partnerships
-
Texas Project
The foundation has developed partnerships with breast cancer researchers and oncologists at Baylor College of Medicine, MD Anderson and UT Southwestern which are the only three comprehensive cancer centers in the State. The goal is to work collaboratively to develop innovative research projects that emphasize curative approaches for Metastatic Breast Cancer Patients.
-
Siteman Cancer Center Breast Oncology Program
The Foundation is working to develop new programs for metastatic breast cancer patients in Missouri and Illinois by working collaboratively with the team in the Breast program and other stakeholders. We have launched a new webinar series, and a new support group is being launched soon. We are also supporting the teams outreach programs to help improve access to care for patients in the region.

Patient Advocate partnerships
We continue to work collaboratively with patient advocates and nonprofits nationally and abroad to guide our work and support other efforts to drive progress for patients.
